ORDINANCE #2009-03
AN ORDINANCE TO FURTHER SUPPLEMENT AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED, “AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH, MAINTAIN, REGULATE AND CONTROL A POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE BOROUGH OF ALLENHURST AND PRESCRIBING RULES AND REGULATIONS RESPECTING SUCH DEPARTMENT FOR THE GOVERNMENT AND DISCIPLINE THEREOF”, ADOPTED FEBRUARY 1, 1926, AND THE VARIOUS AMENDMENTS THEREOF AND SUPPLEMENTS THERETO.
THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE BOROUGH OF ALLENHURST DO ORDAIN:
SECTION I
That Section 3 of an Ordinance entitled, AN ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH, MAINTAIN, REGULATE AND CONTROL A POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE BOROUGH OF ALLENHURST AND PRESCRIBING RULES AND REGULATIONS RESPECTING SUCH DEPARTMENT FOR THE GOVERNMENT AND DISCIPLINE THEREOF”, adopted February 1, 1926, and the various amendments thereof and supplements thereto, be and the same is hereby further amended to read:
Section 3.
3. The annual salary of the Chief of Police of the Allenhurst Police Department shall be:
Minimum Maximum
$70,000.00 $110,000.00
4. The Class II Special Police Officer shall be compensated as prescribed herein:
Full-time Class II Special Police Officer
Minimum Salary: $20,000.00; Maximum Salary: $45,000.00
Part-time Class II Special Police Officer
Minimum Salary: $10.00 per hour; Maximum Salary: $20.00 per hour
2. A clothing and maintenance allowance of $800.00 shall be provided to all full-time Class II Special Officers.
3. Each permanent, full-time Class II Special Officer, who has completed one full year of employment, shall be entitled to three (3) personal days off without loss of regular straight time pay.
5. The salaries of Communication Officers in the Allenhurst Police Department shall be provided as prescribed herein:
Full-time Communication Officer
Minimum Salary: $20,000.00; Maximum Salary: $65,000.00
Part-time Communication Officer
1. A clothing and maintenance allowance of $750.00 shall be provided to all full-time Communication Officers. $375.00 shall be provided to the employee for maintenance of uniforms and $375.00 shall be provided on account for clothing purchases.
2. Each permanent, full-time Communication Officer, who has completed one full year of employment, shall be entitled to three (3) personal days off without loss of regular straight time pay.
SECTION II
All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the within ordinance or portions of same, are hereby repealed to the extent of their inconsistency.
SECTION III
The within ordinance shall take effect twenty (20) days after adoption and
publication according to law and shall be retroactive to January 1, 2009.
