Refuse and Recycling Guide
Household Refuse: Tuesday and Friday - Rear yard / 30-gallon max containers
Payment must be made in advance for collection of the following items:
- Appliances containing freon
- Collection of bulk items
- Collection of tires (tires on rims $5.00 / Tires off of rims $2.00)

Recycling - Commingled - Bottles, Cans, Plastic Containers: Every Wednesday
- Must be rinsed and placed in a container marked “recycling” max of 30-gallon and placed next to garbage cans in rear of residence.
- No flower pots, prescription medicine bottles, lighters, razors, paint, varnish, motor oil or pesticide containers, window panes, light bulbs, crystal items.
Mixed paper & newspaper & corrugated cardboard: every Wednesday by 7am
- May be either securely tied in bundles weighing less than 50 lbs or placed in a covered 30-gallon container next to curb prior to 7:30 am.
Leaves
- Springtime must be containerized and placed at curb.
- Autumn between October 1 and December 31 can be placed loose at curb.
Brush
- Small brush pieces must be containerized/branches up to 8” in diameter and up to 7’ long will be collected at curb. May be placed for collection any day.
Grass
- Borough no longer collects grass clippings.
Paint and paint cans: Tuesday and Friday
- Latex or oil-based paints/ must dry out the paint (less than 1” in can)/rear yard (place with household trash in containers for disposal)

Hours are: Tuesday & Wednesday: 12:00pm to 4:00pm, Thursday and Friday: 12:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday 7:00am to 4:00pm
Hazardous materials include: pesticides, herbicides, solvents, full cans of latex or oil-based paint, pool chemicals, motor oil, antifreeze, etc.
